Supporting our community
Supporting our local community is a fundamental part of who we are, what we do and it is for this reason that we support Ruils Independent Living, sponsor local sports clubs and donate to our war veterans.
Our chosen charity
Supporting charities isn’t new to us, for nearly twenty years we have helped good causes but the game changer was an introduction to Ruils Independent Living. Finally we found a charity that resonates with us and shares a common core value – caring for our community matters. Choosing Ruils Independent Living as our preferred charity was an easy decision and, over the past few years, we have raised awareness and funding for them by completing marathons, ultra marathons and cycle races.
What’s the next challenge? On the 13th of June 2026 Robbie, paced by Gavin and Simon Chapman (Cornerstone Build by Design), will run the South Downs Way 100®. A 100 mile non-stop foot race from Winchester to Eastbourne along the South Downs Way National Trail to raise an ambitious £10,000 for Ruils’ SEND Services.
How can I get involved? If you’re as passionate about helping our community as we are you can make a small donation on our Just Giving page. No matter how big or small your contribution, every little helps.
What is my donation funding? SEND Family Matters – a service for parents that provides practical support, advice and information to families with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Your donation will help fund workshops, 1-2-1 support and befriending services – all of which are absolutely necessary and require funding.

Sponsoring our community
Pinnacle Plumbing’s sponsorship journey started back in 2008 and, for two years, we were sponsors of the Stragglers Running Club Junior Section.
Gavin, a passionate rugby supporter with a soft spot for Welsh rugby, wanted to support a local club with a Welsh connection. London Welsh was the obvious choice and it was an honour to sponsor the club for two years before they were promoted to the Premier League.
An opportunity arose in 2016 to sponsor the Cabbage Patch 10 and we jumped at the it. For three years this iconic Twickenham road race was the beneficiary of our sponsorship until the race directorship changed and new sponsors took over the mantle.
Around the same time we were approached to sponsor a BearCats affiliated fun run – the Turks Head 10, an opportunity we grabbed with both hands and have been a proud sponsor ever since. The Turks Head 10 is entrenched in our calendar and every year our loyal customers join us for the run and refreshments afterwards at the Turks Head pub.
For the past three or four years we have helped with the logistics for the Ranelagh Harriers half marathon and 10km road races and in 2025 sponsored both races, a sponsorship we hope to continue well into the future.
Sponsoring local sports clubs over the years is something we are very proud of, it has been a wonderful journey and brought us an enormous amount of pleasure over the years.
